About

I am a Master's student in the HCI Lab at the University of Waterloo. I also completed my undergraduate degree in Computer Science at Waterloo, after transferring from Recreation and Leisure Studies.

My research lies at the intersection of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Computer Science Education. I study how people can maintain agency, control, and cognitive engagement when working with AI. My recent work focuses on two areas: rethinking how developers interact with coding agents in software development, and designing friction-based interactions that encourage users to critically engage with AI-generated outputs. Outside of research, I enjoy karate, cycling, and traveling.
